粉晶的質地易脆，因內含有微量的鈦元素而形成粉紅色，如果長時間接受陽光曝曬會失去原有的嬌嫩色澤，常見的人工加工方式是染色，透明度由不透到半透至透明的都有，但非常清澈明亮的天然晶體，我們稱之為星光粉晶。

粉晶的種類，大部分都以以下四種為分：

一、傳統粉晶：產量多，其粉晶內部常見帶有白色石紋、天然雲霧或天然冰裂紋，並且不透明，其價格也最為便宜。

二、芙蓉粉晶：芙蓉晶是稍具透明度，以晶體質感圓潤、色澤嬌嫩為判斷價值標準的粉晶。好的芙蓉晶不帶任何的白色石紋，其顏色嬌嫩明亮而靈活，晶體表面光則會有呈現如水分飽滿甚至油脂般光華溫潤的質地。

三、冰種粉晶：冰種粉晶具有高度的通透性，像冰一樣的通透及沁涼感為名，品相好的冰種粉晶還會帶隨著粉晶的粉嫩質感，而內部會比較少的天然雲霧或天然冰裂紋。

四、星光粉晶：星光粉晶是指沒有石紋，已通透度輔以粉紅色澤為判斷標準的粉晶，再單一光源下可看到三條直線中心相交形成六道明顯光芒。星光粉晶最常看見粉粉白白的質感，但太過明顯的話卻又在視覺效果上打了折扣。所以說，一顆質地不混濁，帶有明顯星芒，且能具有明顯可辨別的粉紅色溫潤光澤的星光粉晶，才是比較值得購買的品相。

而以上的種類是有可能同時存在的，像是芙蓉星光粉晶或者是冰種星光粉晶，當然同時存在兩種以上的優良品相粉晶，價格當然會高一點囉。

凡 海外箓生要求授箓，需具有正式的师门传承，从事道教事业三年以上，可初授“三五都功经箓”。已经初授“三五都功经箓”满三年以上者，可申请升授“正一盟威经箓”。升“正一盟威经箓”满八年以上者，可申请加授“上清五雷经箓”。同时需出具海内外知名道教法师两人的推荐、保举函。

二、授箓程序。
海外箓生要求授箓，需具有海外正规的道教组织或宫观的推荐函，填写授箓申请表，附上本人身份证复印件及道装两寸证件照片三张，先行寄到龙虎山嗣汉天师府，然后由天师府统一呈报中国道教协会审批并报国家宗教局备案后方可取得授箓资格。

三、申请期限
从即日起至辛卯年农历五月廿九（公历2011年6月30日）为申请报名截止日。在此期间，要求授箓的箓生务必填写好申请表、提供推荐函及照片邮寄到嗣汉天师府。如延误日期，即自动延迟至下年度授箓。

四、收费标准
龙虎山嗣汉天师府自1995年授箓以来，一直都存在着有“职”无“箓”的问题，而今，我们花了二十多年的心血，终于整理出一整套规范的法箓，并获得了中国道教协会的最终审定。现将2011年龙虎山嗣汉天师授箓及补箓收费标准公布如下：

2011年海外弟子授箓收费标准
1、初授箓在原有的2800元费用上加上经箓的成本费800元，合计3600元。
2、升授箓在原有的3800元费用上加上经箓的成本费800元，合计4600元。
3、加授箓在原有的7000元费用上，加上经箓的成本费800元，合计7800元。
4、凡在天师府授过箓的箓生，均可来府补箓，补箓费用1800元。

五、其他注意事项
1、要求授箓的箓生，姓名、籍贯、性别、年龄、法号、师承、道龄等务必填写清楚。凡涉及纪年事项，一律填写公元纪年。
2、已取得授箓资格的箓生，将在网上公布名单，并严格要求本人务必亲身到龙虎山天师府参加授箓醮仪，不得借故缺席。如缺席者，即视为自动放弃。（具体时间另行公布）。
